Volunteering at Odyssey Youth Center

We love volunteers!

Odyssey is recruiting now for Board Members. We need energetic, passionate, and effective youth advocates to serve on our Board of Directors. For information, please contact us.

Volunteers make Odyssey possible. From all walks of life, orientations and backgrounds, each volunteer is invited to bring their unique contribution to the Odyssey family. During center hours volunteer facilitators serve as mentors and positive role models for our youth. Facilitators provide supervision, a meal and activities in partnership with staff and community educators.

Our greatest need is for volunteers during youth drop-in hours. Shifts are 2-3 hours long, from 3:30-6 p.m., and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 3:30-6 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Fridays. If you have less time or don't want to volunteer in the center, please consider hosting a fund raiser or helping us at special events.

Note: To volunteer as a facilitator during youth drop-in hours you must be 24 years of age or older and pass a criminal background check. If you are a volunteer under 24, contact us to see if there are opportunities for you to get involved.

Are you a Service-Learning Student? Many students from area schools volunteer with Odyssey as part of their course work. Please contact us to work out the details.

How do I sign up?
