Odyssey & Covid 19 Precautions

Dear LGBTQ+ Youth, Supporters, Families, and Community Partners

Among the growing concerns surrounding COVID-19, with the recommendations of regional health organizations, and after the state-wide closure of K-12 schools in Washington State, Odyssey Youth Movement has made the tough decision to suspend drop-in programs for the remainder of the month of March.

This means that starting this afternoon (Sunday March 15th) Odyssey's drop-in center will cancel all youth and young adult programs, as well as onsite meetings and outside groups.

Odyssey serves not just as a safe space for hundreds of LGBTQ+ youth across the Inland Northwest, but an access point for resources, basic needs, and youth community. Staff and volunteers are already working hard to find creative ways to meet these needs during the closure.

It should be noted that this closure is a precaution designed to keep Odyssey participants, their families, and our community, healthy and safe. Odyssey had instituted strict sanitation procedures and has been working hard to keep youth participants safe throughout these developments.

More details will be shared as they are available on social media as well as on Odyssey's website.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Times like this are where the strength of our community can really shine!

Sincerely,

Ian Sullivan
