Dear Free to Be Open Golfers,

Thank you for your support as golfers, attendees, and donors of Odyssey Youth Movement’s Free to Be Open Charity Golf Tournament.  Over the years, this annual event has served as a place for people of all genders to gather, enjoy a round of golf, and celebrate in community with each other. While golfers and friends gathered for a fun evening together, you were all directly supporting LGBTQ+ youth right here in the Inland Northwest.

With the safety of our community in mind, and recognizing that it’s not possible to gather in person as a group this summer, Odyssey has decided to postpone this year’s golf tournament until summer 2022.  While we won’t be gathering in person, there are still ways to stay connected and support Odyssey Youth Movement.

Since March, Odyssey has continued to host drop-in programming in an all online format and is using creative solutions such as porch deliveries to help meet the needs of our community’s LGBTQ+ youth.  Odyssey participants can sign up for deliveries of basic need items including weekly food bags, bus passes, clothes, and hygiene supplies along with creative and program specific items such as Pride swag, school supplies, and craft items.  Your financial investments in Odyssey go to support LGBTQ+ youth who are still isolated from many of their school and community resources meant to keep them safe and affirmed.
