SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The 30/30/30 Campaign

Dear Odyssey friends and supporters,

This year, we’re excited to be celebrating Odyssey’s 30th birthday! It’s hard to believe that Odyssey Youth Movement has been working alongside LGBTQ+ youth and young adults for three decades, from humble beginnings in borrowed spaces to today’s thriving drop-in center in the South Perry District. Thanks to supporters like you, Odyssey now serves hundreds of youth each year with weekly drop-in programs, an expanded basic needs program, community education efforts, and annual events such as Pride in Perry and Youth Queer Prom.

In recognition of Odyssey’s three decades of LGBTQ+ youth programs and resources, we’re thrilled to be launching The 30/30/30 Campaign. We’re asking our community to help celebrate these last 30 years of Odyssey Youth Movement by raising $30,000 in 30 days to help us continue serving Spokane’s LGBTQ+ youth for the next thirty years. The campaign launches today and culminates in Odyssey’s 30th Anniversary Brunch celebration on September 18th. (Speaking of which; have you bought your brunch tickets yet? Click here for more info).

These last three decades, Odyssey has worked to help LGBTQ+ young folks thrive here in Spokane and the surrounding Inland Northwest. Your financial support helps make that possible. The last several years have been difficult across our community-especially for LGBTQ+ youth, who faced increased isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. This past spring, Odyssey proudly welcomed back our annual in-person events, including Youth Queer Prom and Teen Zone at Pride. At these events, we saw record numbers of participants. This, alongside significant increases in attendance at Odyssey’s drop-in programs, shows that local LGBTQ+ youth and young adults are excited to reconnect with their community and build their sense of belonging.
