Odyssey has heard from the community, including directly from young adults, that there are not enough resources and opportunities for LGBTQ folks after they age out of Odyssey's 13-18 year old drop in program.
So, Odyssey is excited to announce that starting Saturday August 5th we will be piloting a Young Adult Program for LGBTQ folks ages 18-24
This means someone would be eligible for the program as of their 18th birthday and age out on their 25th birthday. The program goes from 5pm-9pm and is drop-in style, meaning people are welcome to arrive or leave anytime during open hours. Dinner will be provided, as well as resources like condoms, safer sex supplies, clothes, hygiene products and the like. There will also be a variety of programs offered including sexual health topics, support, and other participant driven requests.
A reminder, that this is a pilot. Odyssey will evaluate attendance, feedback, and surveys from participants to determine if the program will be ongoing beyond September. Expect an announcement no later than mid-October.
